MeadowPrivacy Policy
Updated September 21, 2026
1. What We Collect and Why
We collect only what helps Meadow work and stay safe. We collect:
• Basic info you provide (like name, email, and city) so you can use the app.
• Activity data you choose to share (plans, circles, messages, availability).
• Optional info if you link services (like calendar or location, if you enable it).
• We never sell or trade your data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to make Meadow feel more personal, never manipulative.
Specifically, we may use it to:
• Match you with people, circles, or activities that align with your interests, values, and availability.
• Suggest gentle opportunities for connection (like nearby events or shared free time).
• Support meaningful discovery, without social scoring, algorithmic feeds or ads.
• Operate and improve core features
• Keep accounts safe and prevent misuse
• Communicate updates or respond to support requests
• We believe personalization should serve you, not profit from you.
We don’t track you across other sites.
We don’t build ad profiles.
We don’t design for addiction.
3. Your Choices & Controls
You’re in charge of your experience. At any time, you can:
• Edit or delete your profile
• Leave a Circle or Plan quietly
• Turn visibility or availability off
• Download or permanently delete your data
• Delete your account through Settings → Privacy & Security. We remove your account data from active systems; limited records may remain where required for security or legal obligations.
4. How We Protect Your Data
We use encryption, secure servers, and limited access to protect your information. Our team is trained in privacy-first design and handles reports with care.
We will only share information if:
• You choose to share it through Meadow features, or
• A service provider needs it to operate Meadow, including Google Maps for address searches, PostHog for product analytics and Stripe for voluntary donations, or
• Required by law, or
• Needed to prevent immediate harm or abuse.
5. Cookies & Analytics
We use PostHog to understand usage and improve Meadow. Analytics may include usage events, your user ID and email. This is not advertising or tracking across other apps and websites, and we do not sell this data.
6. Children & Teens
Meadow is for adults age 18+. We currently do not support child or teen accounts or other options for minors. Anyone under 21 will be restricted from 21+ content or circles. It is your responsibility to provide your accurate date of birth when you create an account. You may be asked to verify your date of birth.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we make updates, we’ll let you know, clearly and directly. We’ll always write updates in plain language.
